If you haven’t been to Caribbean, you might think of the Caribbean as one place. That’s what I thought too until I was actually in the Islands. The Caribbean consists of Islands that mostly have similar tropical climate but every Island has its own different way to boast for a destination not just for the summer, but all year round. In fact Caribbean destinations are very popular during December and January.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Punta Cana is Located easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic. One of the top Caribbean destination. Peak season runs from December to April. On summer, accommodations and airfare drops dramatically so is one of the best affordable summer vacation.
Arrive by Plane
When you fly to Punta Cana, you will be arriving at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). Most people going to Punta Cana are staying at a resort. With a resort package most hotels will have airport pick up arranged for you at the Punta Cana Airport. You will find this area to the right as you depart the final customs check area. Just look for your hotel name on a sign that many guides will have, and they will direct you to your bus. Private taxis are also available at fixed prices.
Upon arriving at the airport, each passenger is required to purchase a $10 tourist card before entering immigration, often included in your documentation upon departure or issued on the flight. After retrieving luggage and clearing customs, arriving passengers will be greeted by their tour company representative to the right and directed to board the correct bus for transfer to their resort. Check-in in the bus counters before going to board the buses. They are numbered, thus you will not know which one to get on to.
Expedia listed 86 properties to choose from for your accommodation. You may take Villas, Resort Hotels and Apartments. They mostly offer all-inclusive deals. For an average of 7 days stay, you may be able to find an apartment for as low as $17 average per day. Isn’t that cool?
You may also consider a bundle deal, example for 7 days, 1 room, 2 adults, you can get for as low as $1,151.00! That includes airfare and accommodation!
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Montego Bay is located on the Northern shore of Jamaica with resorts stretches many miles of beaches. There are lots of all-inclusive resorts on the bay area. You may also consider going to the “Hip Strip” where you will find souvenirs and local stuffs. Don’t forget to bargain for prices. They will always give you a fair deal if you be nice and if you buy lots….
Get there by Air
You will be arriving at Sangster International Airport (MBJ). It is the most popular airport for tourist visiting the north coast of Jamaica. There awaits hotel shuttle buses and taxis.
If you want to really save, take the all-inclusive offers, 3 meals a day and alcoholic/nonalcoholic drinks all included in your nightly rates.
Expedia offers an all-inclusive deal for 5 days for as low as $1,344 and from $1,644 with flight. Both for 2 adults, 1 bedroom deals.

When you search for flight to Spain, you will see tons of sale and drop down prices. Why wait, now is the time to fly.
You can book a hotel for as low as $41. But I suggest you take an apartment where you can do cooking because there are so many interesting foods in the market where you might want to do it your own. Besides, you can save a lot rather than eating outside.
Not to be Missed Foods
Never miss local foods like, Paella, which is a very famous Spanish Dish. Fideaua is very similar to paella, with sea foods but instead of rice, they use noodles.
Allioli is a Catalan Garlic and Oil sauce and is incredibly popular that is eaten across Spain with Fish, meat, sausage and vegetable.
Escalivada is a smokey grilled vegetable dish usually contains, aubergine (eggplant), red bell pepper, onions, tomatoes and garlic served with Allioli. Can be served hot or cold.
Madonguilles Amb Sipia are meatballs cooked with squid in rich gravy sauce. You should try this. This is a dish like you cannot just find it somewhere else.
Drop by at Viana Restaurant where they served the best Tapas in town. Of course, you are in Spain, how could you not eat Tapas.
Don’t forget the sweet. Creme Catalana, is a dessert that is very similar to Creme Brulee. The only big difference is that creme brulee sugar toppings are flamed while creme catalana is broiled. It is made with eggs, milk and sugar.
Barcelona Memorable Places
La Sagrada Familia was built in 1882 and designed by Antoni Gaudi. It is still being constructed until today. You can book a tour to look inside. Just by taking a picture on the outside is already worth seeing this wonderful church. This is Barcelona’s landmark so you can never leave Barcelona without having a picture here.
Torre Agbar is a central tower in Barcelona an amazing spectacle when lit up at night. This skyscraper is one of the most breath-taking sights of Barcelona and is more than worth a look. Its structure is round-shaped and it narrows into an apex as it nears the top. It has many colors woven into the 4500 windows that make up the tower and it has many lighting patterns that are set for different times of the year.
La Monumental is where the famous Spain tradition Bullfighting venue. Inside this La Monumental is the Bullfighting Museum where you can have a glimpse of those popular Catelonian bullfighters and bulls that has performed here.
Parc Guell is another masterpiece built by Antoni Gaudi and it was actually intended to be a residential district that would take on a similar form of the British upper class houses of the time. Unfortunately the project was unable to be completed, so Gaudi took over construction and transformed it into a park that featured buildings that look like traditional Spanish houses and churches but have some checkered steeples and roofs that look like cake icing among other structures that have also been built at this park.
Whatever you wanna do, wherever you wanna go, it is very important that you make the best of every trip you do. There could be so much to share but maybe I missed it. I want you to leave a comment below and share what you have in mind. Some might have the same questions ad requests. Be prepared and be safe. Not sure, ALWAYS ask. Vacation has to be always an excitement and to create excellent memories, not a disaster.
